Educational Technology at VC
Grades 7 – 12 participate in our one-to-one Windows-based laptop program. Students in grades 4 – 6 are assigned a personal Chromebook device for the school year. With access to Office 365 and Google Workspace our students gain proficiency in both collaboration ecosystems.
Our Educational Technology plan emphasizes the development of future-ready tech literacy, organizational skills, and project-based learning. Classrooms are equipped to be interactive, and we continue to explore the best educational resources including the latest e-texts and specialized software and hardware.
Our new state-of-the art Wifi network covers all teaching spaces. Villanova College is committed to developing and integrating technology to cultivate critical thinking, nurture creativity and build an innovative mindset.
Edsby, our web-based learning management platform integrates all aspects of student life including academics, co-curriculars, attendance and reporting. Parents stay well connected and informed with on-line access to calendars, schedules, assignment deadlines and information regarding programs and school events.
Virtual Villanova College or VVC, is our remote learning platform ready to serve at a moment’s notice.
I believe the School helped ensure my success in university by helping me feel prepared and confident. Teachers assisted me in my specific fields of study, but more importantly in the general areas of time and stress management, critical thinking and study strategies and personal learning preferences.
